Class I Division II rated sensors can be placed closer to the source.

SNSR is Class I Division II certified, which allows it to operate safely in areas where flammable gases or vapors may occasionally be present due to abnormal conditions, such as equipment failure or leaks. SNSR modules are typically placed at least five feet from the emissions source due to area classifications, with typical deployments ranging from 25 to 30 feet away from equipment and other modules.

 

This certification allows the devices to meet rigorous safety standards for deployment in oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, and other industrial sites without compromising performance or reliability.
